The Organization was initiated in 2006 by a number of eleven members (Pioneers) who felt the urge to uplift the standards of living of the needy Youth and Children. ECAYSO is now active in close to 7 communities in and around our communities, namely; Nampirika, Buwongo, Buseyi, Rwelera, Nakalama, Magogo & Bukaye but we hope to expand our influence to other places.
Summary on Projects under ECAYSO:
The Executive Committee of the Organization sat and concluded that in order to accomplish the aims and objectives of ECAYSO, some projects were to be put in place to serve various purposes. For Example;
- School Project (St. Andrews Academic Centre Primary School)
- Community Bore Hole
- Carpentry Project
- Brick Laying and Concrete Practice Project
- Poultry Project
- Peer Education Project
- Tailoring Project
- Art & Craft Project
- Computer Training Programme
The core project of concentration of the Organization is the St. Andrews Academic Centre Primary School because of its role in formal education to the needy children and youth in and around our community.
It was started in 2006, as a primary school founded under the Church (Church of Uganda) with a good number of pupils and managed by a good number of staff members including, the Director, Head teacher, Deputy Head teacher etc.

OBJECTIVES OF SCHOOL PROJECT
(St. Andrews Academic Centre Primary School)
- To offer quality education to rural children in communities.
- To offer education to orphans, youth and vulnerable children who are being discriminated against in their communities after their parents having died of HIV/AIDS
- To care and support orphans and vulnerable children to grow into useful citizens.
- To give hope and assurance of a future to orphans after the death of their parents and also to help them live spiritually upright and God fearing lives.
- To enhance the campaign of fighting against the spread of HIV/AIDS among the Community and Young Children.
- To cooperate with Individuals or Organizations with the purpose.
- To mobilize more members and sensitize them to participate in the developmental activities of the Organization.
OUR VISION:
Our Vision is to see that we are helpful to our Communities to change them from a traditional rural communal life to a modern urbanized society.
Just like Job in the Bible when he said ‘I was eyes to the blind, ears to the deaf and legs to the crippled’ And also among the apostles, ACTS 4:34 “Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold.” So we are touched to have the same mind as the apostles had.
MISSION:
Focused on changing lives and ways of the people in the entire community and see to it that there is a transformation among youths and children.
OVER ALL GOAL:
To reach out to all the youth and children in life to upgrade their living standards and develop a self sustaining economy while improving living conditions of the disadvantaged group.
